Technology to Detect Mobility and Defects in Teeth and Implants
Featuring Jean Wu, DDS
6:00 PM – 7:00 PM; 1 CEU core
Dentistry has never had a reliable instrument to detect mobility of implants or teeth. All our current clinical methodology is subjective, not consistent, or measurable. Quantitative Percussion Diagnostic (QPD) technology allows the technician to detect and measure defects in teeth and implants without having to disassemble the whole structure. This instrument provides the clinician with revolutionary diagnostic capabilities, which our current radiographic or cone beam computerized tomography (CBCT) tests are unable to show until there is a more severe separation of the crack, bone loss, or infected periodontal ligament.
The ‘live’ CE Webinar will demonstrate how to use QPD technology prior to treatment and follow-up of teeth and implants after restoration.
Learning Objectives:
- Understanding QPD technology and its utilization.
- Interpreting the QPD data.
- How to use QPD for patient monitoring.
