Basic Life Support for Providers

BLS Provider classes are offered at the SGVDS Office. Class is open to you and your staff; four (4) CE units are awarded. This course fulfills the mandatory requirement for licensure renewal by the DBC. To receive BLS card/units, you must be on time for class. 

Class size is limited and advance registration is required.

A meeting confirmation with directions will be sent one week prior to class. 

MANDATORY: It is a requirement by the American Heart Association that you have a current ‘BLS for Providers’ handbook in class. Current edition (2020). A hardcopy handbook may be purchased at the time of class payable cash or check (payable to Firstlink CPR) for $18.00. OR You may download a digital copy for the price of $14.00. (link: https://shopcpr.heart.org/product-type/us-student-materials) If you download the digital version, make sure you bring your device with the e-book downloaded to class. *Offices may NOT share books in class. 

• Firstlink CPR’ adheres to the guidelines from the AHA (as of July 1, 2020) to avoid risk exposure: Decontamination of all manikins, bag masks, wearing gloves as recommended and allowance of simulated breaths during practice to avoid risk exposure. 

• Firstlink CPR requires a minimum participation of 10. If class is canceled your money will be re-funded in full. 

• 24 hour notification required to avoid a charge for class. 

• Don’t forget your cash or check for the handbook.
